Faaborg-Woods, Judith Ann

Judith Ann Faaborg-Woods, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Western Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. W. Bramwell Harnish presiding. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW.

Judith was born Dec. 29, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George and Mildred (Grimm) Kinkead. Judith married Lynn Faaborg on May 10, 1958; they were later divorced. She married Tom Woods, who preceded her in death in 2009. She worked at Rockwell for many years until her retirement. She drove a school bus for the Cedar Rapids school system.

Judith enjoyed gardening and flowering as well as spending time with her family.

Judith is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Jim) Rudd of Blakesburg and Traci (Phil) Davis of Western; five grandchildren, Jaime, Jodi, Janele, Jena and Shawn; sisters, Doris Erickson, Faye (Larry) Wade, Peggy (Arie) DeJong and Cathy Frazier; and brothers, Jim (Julie) Kinkead, David Kinkead, Bill (Linda) Burgess and John Frazier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom; and brothers, Ronald Kinkead and Robert Kinkead.
