Faaberg, Bernice M.
Bernice M. Faaberg, 87, of 2500 First Ave., Marion, died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at her home after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Bobby Dickerson. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband, Ken; two daughters, Teresa Yeisley of Des Moines and Debbie Sova of Warner-Robbins, Ga.; a son, James Sova of Marion; a sister, Dorothy Pollock of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Demelza, Krista, Justin, Shantal, Joshua and Jessica; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Jaykub and Autumn; and a stepgreat-grandchild, Mercedes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; a sister; and an infant son, Randy.
Bernice was born April 29, 1925, in Olin, the daughter of Guy and Mary Lindley Coppess. She married Robert Sova; they were later divorced. She later married Kenneth M. Faaberg on Oct. 12, 1974, in Cedar Rapids. Bernice worked at Cherry Burrell (International Paper) for many years.
She enjoyed traveling, eating out and especially the time spent with her beloved family and many friends.
Memorial donations maybe given to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or St. Luke's Hospice.
