Ewing-Young, Brooke Anne
Brooke Anne Ewing-Young, 30, of Marion, formerly of Mason City, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, in Des Moines. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. NE, Mason City, with the Rev. Derik Yarian officiating.
Should friends desire, memorials may be left in Brooke's name.
Brooke Anne Ewing was born on March 26, 1981, in Mason City, the daughter of Kenton Ewing and Marilyn (Boehnke) Tecklenburg.
She was a kind soul who made friends easily wherever she went. Over the years Brooke touched the lives of many. She adored her children and loved being with them, they were her pride and joy. Brooke will be greatly missed by many friends and family members.
Those grateful in sharing in her life are her children, Marissa, Olivia, Tanner, Deforest and Shawn; her mother, Marilyn (Jeff) Tecklenburg, Marion; her siblings, April (Dale) Schmitz, Clear Lake, Staci Lloyd, Cresco, Jennifer Tecklenburg, Dallas, Texas, Emily (Darin) DeRenzis, Hermosa Beach, Calif., Matt (Mandy) Tecklenburg, Dallas, Texas, and Evan Tecklenburg, Cedar Falls; her aunts, Annette Marshall, Mason City, Molly Walgren, Cedar Falls, and Kathy (Craig) Wentworth, Omaha; her uncles, Jim (Renee) Boehnke, Tom (Pam) Tecklenburg, Humboldt, Burt (Polly) Tecklenburg, Marshalltown, Joe (Shary) Tecklenburg, Dysart, Gary Ewing, Mason City, Kim Pinneke, Marion, and Mick Pinneke, Atlanta; her grandparents, Norma Nutting, Clear Lake, Jean Tecklenburg, La Porte City, and Carol Pinneke, Mason City; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Brooke was preceded in death by her father, Kenton Ewing; and her grandfathers, Tom Pinneke and Robert Nutting.
