Ewalt, Ralph Leroy
Ralph Leroy Ewalt, 75, of Iowa City, Coralville, and most recently, Tipton, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at Mercy Iowa City following a brief illness. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Oak Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Doug Williams officiating.
Ralph was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Iowa City, the son of Merritt and Mae Kelley Ewalt Sr. Ralph had been employed at Roberts Dairy until his retirement. He was a member of Coralville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his three children, Catherine, Patrick and Todd, and grandchildren; his siblings, Merritt (Mareda) Ewalt Jr. of Storm Lake, Marilyn Andrews of Austin, Texas and Margaret (Gary) Crowley of West Liberty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Robert.
A memorial fund has been established.
