The visitation will take place one day prior at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom on Thursday, January 11 from 4-6 pm. Burial will take place at a later date.
Everett worked at U.S West, Quest, and Northwestern Bell, where he retired after 40 years. He was also a Korean War Veteran, and affiliated with the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion, IA
The most important things to Everett were his family and friends. He had a caring spirit and was always ready to lend an ear or a helping hand. Everett was a Boy Scout leader for many years and volunteered in numerous other ways. He had a passion for the outdoors through the years; camping, fishing, spending time at their cabin, and golfing. Everett loved to use his hands, building many things, and becoming a woodcarver in his later years. He loved sports, especially his beloved ISU Cyclones, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears. Everett and Marge were always on the go. Mystery trips, family reunions in Kansas, ISU football and basketball games, and many trips to the Big 12 tournament were favorites. Spending time with friends was important to Everett, and he could frequently be found meeting to play cards, carve, or simply share a cup of coffee. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Karr (Flossie) Dryden; two brothers, Marion Dryden, and Argyle Dryden; and three sisters, Edith Murray, Wilma Reiling, and Doris Dodson.
