Evens, Dale A.
Dale A. Evens, 65, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, following an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, with the Rev. Jim Blair officiating. Interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
In addition to his wife, Mary of Vinton, he is survived by his sons, Rodney (Tami) Evens of Vinton, Jim (Charissa) Evens of Oelwein, and Charlie Evens of Anamosa; his daughters, Julie Evens of Anamosa, and Nicole Adams-Peal of Marion; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three brothers.
