Evengline "Susie" Hopkins, 49, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Susie is survived by two sons, Khiry and LaJames Hopkins, both of Cedar Rapids; mother, Bernice Hopkins of Cedar Rapids; 10 siblings, Teresia (Mike), Evelyn (Terry), Charles (Sharon), William, Vince, America, Queen, Ruby, Frazier and Earl; and nieces and nephews, Shelby, Gabby, Charles, Jr., M'Kenzie, Shaiya, Haley, Brea, Britley, Brice, Bradley, Sheniqua, Alicia, Lachrisha, Shannel, Savanna, Demarcus, A'Breana and Olivia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ned; and brother, Quincy.
Susie was born April 29, 1967, in Myrtlewood, Ala., the daughter of Ned and Bernice Pritchett Hopkins. She loved spending time with her niece, cooking, gardening, playing games on her phone and shopping for purses and shoes. She enjoyed taking pictures at family gatherings.
