EVELYN VAN DEUSEN
Vinton
Evelyn Van Deusen, 95, died peacefully Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Windsor Manor in Vinton from natural causes. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at First Christian Church in Vinton, with the Rev.
Connie Wacht and the Rev. Lexie Kirkpatrick officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton and also one hour before the services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Judith (Robert) Clark, Cedar Falls, and Carolyn (Jim) Kearns, Garrison; son, Francis Steven Van Deusen, Van Horne; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; eight great-great- grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Pearson, Independence; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Carl Edmonds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2002; four brothers, Harry Cecil, Ora "Bud," Joe and Keith; and three sisters, Mitzie, Lola and Fern.
A memorial fund has been established.
