Evelyn E. Powers, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014. There will be no services.
Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald H. Powers; her daughter, Rebecca Swain; her grandchildren, Daniel (Ann) Tiegen, Shaun Tiegen, Cody Swain and Tyler Swain; great-grandchildren, Danielle Ramirez, Kaleb and Jacob Tiegen; and her siblings, Dorothy (Robert) Brown, William (Cheryl) Easterday, Herman (Rosie) Michel, Romona Middleton, Roberta (Robert) Ward and Robert (Debbie) Michel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gene McHugh.
Evelyn was born July 10, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Cleo (Zier) Easterday. She married Ronald H. Powers on Jan. 12, 2000, in Cedar Rapids. Evelyn was the owner and operator of the Silver Dollar.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
