Evelyn F. Kimm, 99, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at St Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Craig Steimel officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Parish Center.
Evelyn was born on Oct. 8, 1916, in Watkins, Iowa, to Leonard and Bertha (Schmuecker) Brecht. On June 15, 1936, she married Keith Kimm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Watkins. Evelyn worked for many years at the Ox Yoke Inn in Amana. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family.
Survivors include her children, Suzanne Gramblin, Donald (Elizabeth) Kimm, Julie (Dan) Swick and LuAnn (Jeff) Fleck; grandchildren, Tami, Tonya, Brent, Ryan, Chris, Kiley, Ashley, Keith and Nikki; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edwin (Eileen) Brecht; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brecht and Marian Brecht.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Keith; son-in-law, Gary Gramblin; brothers, Floyd (Mary) Brecht, Leonard Brecht and Bernard Brecht; and sister, Kathryn Kimm.
Arrangements are with Brosh Funeral Service, Norway.
