Evelyn "Punky" Cox, 71, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. There will be no service or visitation. Her wishes were cremation. A private inurn-ment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her children, Charlotte (Dave) Carlisle of Oelwein, Carol (Craig) Schneider, Ronald (Chauna) Cox, Suize (Dave) Zahn and Anita Lappe, all of Cedar Rapids; her sister, Judy (James) Reinhold of Hazleton; her brother, David (Brianna) Gordon of Marion. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Cox; her daughter, Rhonda Jasper; two grandsons and a great-grandson.
Evelyn was born Nov. 5, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Marie (Dunham) Gordon. She married Ronald Junior Cox on Nov. 1, 1958, in Iowa City. She was a homemaker.
She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed life to the fullest. Evelyn also loved to go camping, fishing, bowling, cleaning, watching cartoons and cooking for family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Private family services will be Saturday, Feb. 22. A memorial gathering will be held for family and friends in the spring.
