Evans, Jani L. Moses
Jani L. Moses Evans, 59, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at her home from a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Church of the King, 3750 F Ave. NW. Visitation will be an hour before services Wednesday at Church of the King. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in St. George Cemetery. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Jani was born Oct. 26, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William “Bill” and Helen Risk Moses. She graduated from the Culinary Arts program at Kirkwood Community College. Jani worked for many years waitressing at the Dragon as well as Denny's.
Jani is survived by her son, Mike Evans; grandchildren, Shadow and Willow; brothers, Rick (Carol) Moses and Mike (Sue) Moses; nieces, Alissa (Jim) Leonard and Sanjai Moses; and nephews, Jamie (Tracey) Moses and Steve (Michelle) Moses and Joe Pilcher; as well many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
