Evans, Donald 'Duck' Kenneth
Donald “Duck” Kenneth Evans, 60, of Iowa City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, April 15, 2013.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Barbara Evans; son, David and his wife, Mary amEnde, of Connecticut; daughter, Jennifer Evans, and son, Kenneth Evans, both of Iowa City; parents, Kenneth Clyde and Minnie Irene (Corbitt) Evans of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; sisters, Beverly and her husband, Michael Jernigan, of Beech Grove, Tenn., Pam and her husband, Frank Maynard, of Murfreesboro; and Jani Tarpley of Murfreesboro; and grandchildren, Nathan, Noah and Brianna amEnde.
Mr. Evans was a member of Taylors Chapel Baptist Church, Murfreesboro. He was a U.S. Army veteran, stationed in Germany, serving in special missions during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Ralston Creek.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. service time Thursday at Taylors Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Hill Pike. Michael Jernigan will officiate, with nephews serving as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, is in charge of arrangements.
