Eva B. Mosness, 104, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at her home. She resided in Cedar Rapids for over 70 years.
Services: 11 a.m. on Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Brown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton; her parents; a daughter, Barbara Jean Hall; and a grandson, Franklin Keith Brown.
Eva was born on Oct. 11, 1912, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Grover and Mary Staley Phipps. She married Burton Mosness on July 28, 1934, in West Union. Burton passed away in 1986.
Eva was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of a local bridge club. Eva was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed the time spent with her beloved family and friends. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
