Eva Jeanette Curtis, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Manor Care Nursing Home in Cedar Rapids. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 9 at 2 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Eva was born Jan. 5, 1928, in Jasper County, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Marie (Koder) Van Baale. She was united in marriage to Elmer Curtis in Newton, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 2000. Eva is survived by her brother, Donald; and loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Eva enjoyed reading, sewing and writing letters. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her so dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
