EUNICE E. MORDEN

Eunice E. Morden, 87, of Lowden, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Crestview Acres in Marion. Funeral serv-ices: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden, by the Rev. Daniel Red-hage. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Eunice was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Lowden, Iowa, the daughter of John Carl and Eleanor Marie (Bunge) Hein. She married George Morden on Dec. 7, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Luke's Hospice in Cedar Rapids.
Eunice worked on the Wheatland Wire newspaper and enjoyed her coffee clutch with her friends, as well as playing cards and golfing.
Survivors include her husband, George of Lowden; sons, Gene (Melba) of Dallas, Texas, John (Carole) of St. Louis, Mo., and Jerry (Nadeen) of Camanche; daughters, Julie (Bill) Knoche of Lowden and Georgette Wurster of Plainfield, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harvey Hein of Lowden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Leora Mothershead; and brother, Gerald Hein.
