Eugene Harold Opperman, 95, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Pinicon Place in Anamosa. The family will greet friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Marion. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the church, conducted by Timothy Bickel. Committal services with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Guttenberg City Cemetery in Guttenberg, conducted by Pastor Gregory Williamson.
