EUGENE "GENE" DEWEY HARBAUGH
Manchester
Eugene "Gene" Dewey Harbaugh, 87, of Manchester, died at his residence in Manchester on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016.
He was born on Jan. 28, 1929, in Greeley, the son of Dewey and Norma (Rentschler) Harbaugh. Gene was raised
in the area and was a 1946 Strawberry Point High School graduate. On Oct. 4, 1953, Gene was united in marriage to Joyce Ripple at the Greeley Methodist Church. Three sons were blessed to this union. Together, they lived in Manchester, where he was employed by Three Rivers Farm Service for 33 years until retirement.
Gene was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church. He will be remembered as one who enjoyed being with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Harbaugh of Manchester; two sons, Kim (Karen) and Kevin (Annette) Harbaugh, all of Manchester; grandchildren, Mindy Dolan, Shandra (Aaron) Waugh, Apryl (Ron) Mortenson, Tiffany Harbaugh, Stephanie (Will) Fangman, Christopher (Sadie) Harbaugh and Mackenzie Harbaugh; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beverly McQuillen of Manchester.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Norma Harbaugh; one son, Kirk, in 1978; one brother, Russell Harbaugh; and two sisters, Eileen Wendt and Gayle Graybill.

Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at the United Methodist Church in Manchester with the Rev. Phil Rogers officiating. Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends may also call one hour before the service Monday at the church. Inurnment: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
