Etienne Marie Carr, 45, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Services will be 1 p.m. June 6 at Living Waters Ministry, 5101 16th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, conducted by Pastor Rod Dooley of Oak Hill Jackson Community Church. A reception will follow the service at Oak Hill Jackson Community Church.
Survivors include her father, Albert Carr Jr. of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Doreen Bryant (Bobby) of Paris, Tenn.; her children, Kevon (Shelby Guerra) Davis of Cedar Rapids, Alonzo Carr of Cedar Rapids, Dalayla Jackson of Cedar Rapids and Zaren Ross-Carr of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Kevon Jr. (KJ) and Alonzo Jr. (AJ).; siblings, Melissa Stewart (James Miller) of Cedar Rapids, Albert (Jenny) Carr of Cedar Rapids, Aimee (Riondo) Wright of Hercules, Calif., Monica Howard of Detroit, Mich., Carla Taylor of Memphis, Tenn., Shantani Buck of Cedar Rapids, Latisha Chavez of California, Owen and Jabriel Carr of Liverpool, England, Tanae Dozier (Kevin) of Cedar Rapids and Tamaiysha Carr of Mason City; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Taylor Arnold, Tamea Robinson and Tasha Stamps.
Tee was born March 7, 1971, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Washington High School and American College of Hairstyling. Tee enjoyed doing hair, playing with her grandkids, listening to music, and spending time with her many friends and family. She always was lucky on her scratch-off tickets.
In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been established for the children at Veridian Credit Union under the name of Tee Carr Benefit.
