Ethan Carter McAfee went to be with our Lord shortly after birth on Aug. 31, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his parents, Brian and Kelli McAfee of Marion; paternal grandparents, Gary (Keely) McAfee of Marion; maternal grandparents, Kevin (Diann) Carpenter of Earlville; great-grandmother, Mariann Kerkman of Vinton; and uncles, Jeremy McAfee of Cedar Rapids, Cory (Amanda Donahue) Carpenter of West Des Moines and Chris Carpenter of Earlville.
Ethan was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Ralph Kerkman and Gerald (Eleanor) McAfee; and maternal great-grandparents, Herbert (Wilma) Burkle and Francis (Doris) Carpenter.
A private family service will take place. Burial: Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
