Esther Blessing (Ozias) Rocarek, 97, passed away Feb. 9, 2016, in Clairmont Retirement Community (Austin, Texas). She was born July 9, 1918, the youngest of six children, to John and Elizabeth Blessing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She was married to Jesse "Ray" Ozias from 1935 to 1952, and they had one son, Douglas Kent (deceased). She was married to Frank Rocarek from 1976 until his death in 2002.
She also was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings, Mary Irene McIlvain, John Thomas (Tom), Rudolph (Rudy), Pauline Sharp and Von (Bud).
Survivors include a grandson, Orin Ozias; a great- granddaughter, Jocelyn; a daughter-in-law, Janice Ozias (all of Austin); Frank's sons, Larry and Gary Sr. and their families; and special relatives, Koleen Sharp Stika, Sue Sharp and Marsha Klostermann.
Esther was a longtime member Eagles Auxiliary No. 2272, Women of the Moose No. 515, American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 788, and El Kahir Shrine Auxiliary.
She requested donations to the Eagles, Moose and Shrine auxiliaries in lieu of flowers.
At Esther's request, there will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Czech National Cemetery.
