Esther Darlene Kline, 91, of Brooklyn, passed away Nov. 29, 2018, at the Brooklyn Community Estate. Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn with Father Corey Close officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, with a Scripture service at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed in Esther's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
Esther is survived by numerous cousins and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Esther was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Brooklyn, the daughter of Peter J. Kline and Lois Mildred (Smith) Kline. She graduated in 1945 from the Hartwick School District. She was the Brooklyn Activity Coordinator for many years. She received two governor's volunteer awards for 20 years of service. Esther enjoyed sewing quilts, knitting and crocheting to sell at craft shows and flea markets. She especially enjoyed taking bus trips with her mother.
