ESTEBAN "STEVE" TAMAYO
San Antonio, Texas
Esteban "Steve" Tamayo, 65, died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 15, 2014.
Survivors include four daughters, Teresa, JoAnn, Martha and Chavela (Jon Perkins); two sons, Esteban "Pete" and Steve "Pie" (Jenny); stepchildren, Nick and Sonya Rupe and Christina and Daniel Placentia; brother, Joe (Marlene) Tamayo Jr.; sisters, Mary E. Barker (Barry Ross) and Rosie (Rick) Kinney; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He worked at Rapids Chevrolet for many years as an auto body repairman and at A-1 Auto Body.
He descended in Lakehills, Texas. He liked to fish and the Dallas Cowboys were his passion.
He had a good and beautiful life with his wife, Cherryl Tamayo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph S. Tamayo and Ehemecia S. Tamayo; brother-in-law, Gary D. Barker; siblings, John A. Tamayo, Connie S. Tamayo, Eddy Tamayo and Roy S. Tamayo Sr.; and nephews, Jesse "Indio" Saldivar, Paul Saldivar and James A. Tamayo.
