Espe, Carl John
Carl John Espe, 73, of Dixon, Mo., formerly of Cedar Rapids and Marshalltown, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 27, 2012, in Dixon. No services are planned at this time. Private burial at a later date.
Survivors include his children, John Espe of Dixon and Diane Robinson of Denver, Colo.; brothers, Richard Espe of Rowley and Paul Espe of Cedar Rapids, sisters, Helen Lilleboe of Wendell, Minn. and Susan Humphrey of Marion; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith (Frye) Espe; and a sister, Sharon.
Carl was born May 12, 1939. He worked for Lenox Manufacture in Marshalltown and Morton Building. Carl will be missed by all who knew him in person or on the net. He spent many hours on Facebook and had numerous online friends near and far. In earlier years, he enjoyed shooting pool and was an active dancer. He enjoyed country music. He enjoyed board games and was a good card player.
