Ernie D. Anderson, 75, of Clarence, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 14, 2022, surrounded by his family.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at the Clarence United Methodist Church with his funeral service to follow. Burial will be at a later date at Clarence Cemetery. Dawson Funeral Services of Wyoming is assisting the family at this time.
Ernest Daniel was born on Sept. 5, 1946, in Stroud, Okla., to Edward and Audrey (Underwood) Anderson. On June 30, 1967, he was united in marriage to Wanda Collins at the United Church of Christ in Clarence. He worked as a millwright for Local 2158. He was a member of the Clarence United Methodist Church. Ernie loved to ride around town on his golf cart. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Family was important to Ernie, and he loved spending time and socializing with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wanda; daughter, Karla (Kevin) Tenley of Clarence; three grandchildren, Alexandria (Kaleb) Frost, Taylor (James Krause) Tenley and Delanie Tenley; a brother, Charles (Rose) Anderson of Omaha, Ark.; and a sister-in-law, Mar Anderson of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
