Erma Jane Wolf, 76, longtime Iowa City resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at Mercy
Iowa City. No services are planned.
Her family would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time.
Instead of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to the Mercy Hospital Foundation for Mercy Hospice, Iowa City Hospice or The Greater Iowa Alzheimer's Association.
Erma J. Wolf was born Oct. 26, 1937, in West Branch, the daughter of Marvin and Edna (Sorenson) Yerington. She grew up in West Branch, where she graduated from West Branch High School. Erma married Bob Wolf on July 14, 1963, in Iowa City. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 2014.
They owned and operated Wolf Construction Co. Erma and Bob also developed and operated Modern Manor and Lake Ridge, both in Iowa City.
She enjoyed cooking and candy making, sewing, as well as dancing to live music.
Erma was a strong-willed woman.
Erma is survived by her son, Jeff Wolf of Iowa City; and daughter, Brandy (JT) Egli of Austin, Texas.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bob.
