Erin Renee Buck, 33, of Joliet, Ill., passed away suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016. Erin was born Feb. 20, 1983, in Cedar Rapids. She attended elementary and junior high school in Marion, graduated from Anamosa in 2001 and earned a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in 2006.
Erin was full of life and loved by her family, friends and co-workers. She loved all animals, playing volleyball and showing championship livestock. She enjoyed her short professional career in customer service and as a delivery coordinator at Menards.
Erin is survived by her mother, Pamela (Dircks) Des Chatelets, Joliet; sister, Stacey (Justin) Hunter, Lisbon; niece and nephew, Emersyn and Jackson; father, Michael (Connie) Buck, Anamosa; siblings, Evan Buck, Lauren (Tyler) Thoms and Justin Buck; grandparents, Roland and Cindy Buck, Ken and Shirl Dircks, Bob and Chris Kroemer and Bob and Shirley Kintzel; and her aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet. Additional services are at St. John's UCC, Clarence, Iowa, on Sunday, Aug. 21, with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. Memorial tribute at www.fredcdames.com.
