Engler, Charles 'Chuck' E.
Charles “Chuck” E. Engler, 82, of Worthington, died Saturday, April 10, 2010, at his residence. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, where a parish Scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. and an American Legion service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington, with burial in the church cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 137.
Surviving are nine children, Connie (Terry) Bethel of Breese, Ill., Tom (Mavis) Engler of Worthington, Lynne Engler of Worthington, Bill (Judy) Engler of Dyersville, Mary (Chuck) Freese of Marion, Julie (Marc) Kuker of Readlyn and Sue (Mike) Dreismeier, Ann Engler and Steve (Sarah) Engler, all of Cedar Rapids; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ione; a brother, James Engler; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
