Emil J. Kapucian, 92,
of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, April 13, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home where friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial with military rites at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery
Survivors include his wife, Betty; a sister-in-law, Betty L. Kapucian; and a nephew, Tim (Brenda) Kapucian, all of Keystone.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Louis.
Emil was born on Dec. 20, 1922, in Elberon, the son of John and Emma Pavlicek Kapucian. He married Betty J. Tecklenburg on Sept. 21, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. Emil worked at Wilson and Co. for 33 years and retired from there after 33 years of service.
Emil was a member of the Keystone American Legion Post No. 107 and proudly served in the Army during World War II.
After retirement, he enjoyed doing odd jobs to include mowing lawns and clearing snow in the winter. Emil was a real jokester and really enjoyed life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations may be given to the Mercy Hospice House or the Keystone American Legion.
