Emerson, Norma I.
Norma I. Emerson, 94, of Janesville, Wis., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at the Rock Haven Nursing Home in Janesville after an extended illness. Services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home where friends may call after noon Thursday. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Dean; a daughter, Deborah Emerson of Madison, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha and Alma.
Norma was born on Aug. 6, 1917, in Cedar County, the daughter of Louis and Dora Luettjohann Busch. She married Dean A. Emerson on Sept. 29, 1956 at The Little Brown Church in Nashua. Norma was a bookkeeper for various companies, retiring in 1992.
Norma enjoyed gardening, working crossword puzzles and especially the time spent with her beloved family. She was a wonderful wife and mother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established.
