Emerson, Jeffrey Jerald
Jeffrey Jerald Emerson, 46, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly Saturday, March 13, 2010. Funeral arrangements are set for a later date.
Jeffrey was born Dec. 26, 1963, in Cedar Rapids. Jeff was a very giving person and would give the shirt off his back to help someone out if he could. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending his summer months on the water and camping. Jeff was an awesome mechanic and loved his muscle cars and listening to AC/DC.
Survivors include his father, Jerry Emerson of Florida; two daughters, Amy Salyars of Cedar Rapids and Ashley Salyars of Muscatine; two brothers, Mike Emerson of Ashville, N.C., and Brad Emerson of Cedar Rapids; a grandbaby on the way; and a lifelong friend and mother of his two daughters, Majoli “Salyars” Swearingen.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jeff was greatly loved and will always be missed.
A memorial fund has been established for his two daughters.
