Elsie Helena Kreb, 100, of Oran, Iowa, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Bickford Cottage, Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Oran, with the Rev. Sandra Burroughs officiating. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 13, at Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, and one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Burial: St. Peter's Cemetery, rural Oran.
She is survived by three sons, Rueben Kreb of Nashua, Charles (Rosemary) Kreb of Waverly and Melvin (Hollis) Kreb of Scotia, Calif.; one brother, Clement (Emma) Olson of Mobridge, S.D.; and many grandchildren and stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emil, in 1987; one son, Herbert; one sister, Delphia Fischer; and two brothers, Harvey and Melvin Olson.
Elsie was born Jan. 11, 1914, in Camp Cook, Harding County, S.D., to Edward and Carrie (Engebretson) Olson. On
July 28, 1938, she married Emil Kreb at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, is handling the arrangements.
