Ellison, Elisabeth 'Betsy'
Elisabeth “Betsy” Ellison, 82, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Pastor Bob Voels will officiate with burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the chapel.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Franklin “Pete” Ellison; son Timothy Kevin Ellison of Cedar Rapids; and many cousins throughout Iowa and Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Olive Froman.
Betsy was born Nov. 14, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Harvey and Olive (Snetzler) Froman. She married Franklin Joseph Ellison on Oct. 17, 1951, in Nashua, at the Little Brown Church. Betsy was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing and knitting. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids.
