Ellie Quinn Hoffman, daughter of TJ and Megan Hoffman, was stillborn on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, after sudden pregnancy complications. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by Chaplain Christine Wagner-Hecht.
In addition to her parents, Ellie is survived by her big sister, Melody; maternal grandmother, Deb (Phil) Fordyce; maternal grandfather, Mike Summers; paternal grandmother, Karla Hoffman; maternal great- grandparents, Richard and Marcella Fleming, Roseann (Bill) Hitchcock and Wilber (Carol) Summers; and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Hoffman.
Ellie will be remembered for being most active at night, especially when her dad's alarm clock would go off at 10:30 p.m., and when her big sister would talk to her. Ellie's mom won't forget her talent for ninja kicks! Her time was all too brief, but her love and spirit will always be with us.
The family extends a special thank-you for the care and concern from all of the staff at the Birth Care Center at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's.
