ELLEN ELIZABETH FINN RAUSCH
Coralville
Ellen Elizabeth Finn Rausch, 63 years old, passed away peacefully at her home in Coralville, Iowa, on March 27, 2018. Ellen was born on Oct. 29, 1954, in Iowa City, Iowa, to the late Richard "Dick" and Doris "Jackie" Finn and was the oldest of three children. She was a graduate of West High School in Iowa City.
On July 17, 1983, Ellen became the proud mother of Michael Brandon Finn. She was united in marriage to her husband, Bruce Rausch, on July 4, 2000. She openly welcomed stepsons Dave Rausch and Jon Rausch into her family.
Ellen worked very hard all of her life. She was a person for adventure, moving to various places and holding a variety of positions, making lifelong friends along the way. Ellen enjoyed reading, baking, flowers and music. She had a love of nature, especially the mountains of Colorado. Most of all, she loved spending time with the people she cared about the most - her family and close friends. Ellen was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, stepmother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt and friend to so many. She was a shining light and a beautiful person. She will truly be missed.
A memorial service to celebrate Ellen's life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City, with the Rev. Dr. Sam Massey officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa City Hospice.
