Elizabeth Robertson, 52, of Central City, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 10, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Merritt Robertson of Central City; siblings, Maureen (Rick) Boots of Lisbon, William (Stacey) Boston of Cedar Rapids, Diane (Gary) Novak of Solon, Francis (Stacy) Boston of Cedar Rapids, Marietta (Brian) Sippy of Fort Collins, Colo., Teresa Boston (Pat McDonald) of Central City and Ben Boston (Becky Burnett) of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Barb Boston of Cedar Rapids; in-laws, Ria (Mohsen) Ghorbati of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Leanne (Steve) Gross of Forest Knolls, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Boston.
Elizabeth was born Sept. 9, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of William and Mary (Panek) Boston. She attended LaSalle High School and received her EMT training at Kirkwood Community College, both in Cedar Rapids. Elizabeth worked at Mechanicsville Nursing Home and as an EMT in Cedar Rapids. In 1988, she and Merritt moved to Rockford, Ill. On Jan. 13, 1992, she married Merritt Robertson in Rockford. The couple later returned to Central City. Elizabeth worked in Cedar Rapids. She loved her family, shopping, her birds and nature.
