Elizabeth Johnson, 99, passed away Sept. 24, 2016, at Linn Manor Care Center, Marion.
Elizabeth was born to Albert John and Mary Louise (Kafer) Wallace on March 23, 1917, in Mason City, Iowa, the oldest of eight children.
She graduated from Mason City High School and then worked for Iowa Kemper Mutual Insurance Co. She married Floyd Arthur Johnson on Dec. 15, 1943, in Mason City.
Elizabeth is survived by her two loving children, Douglas Johnson of Marion and Julie (Richard) Emmert of Marion, Ill.; her grandchildren, Dustin Johnson, Lee Emmert of Bethesda, Md., and Christina (Emmert) Altringer of Phoenix; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her parents and her seven siblings.
Following cremation, interment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family thanks the staff of Linn Manor and hospice for their care.
