Elizabeth (Beth) E. Fry, 44, of Iowa City, born June 24, 1973, passed away from a sudden illness on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Chris Fry, whom she married on April 7, 1998; a son, Michael Shapcott; grandson, Corban Shapcott; and her mother, Sharon Shapcott.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Volivia Rouse.
Beth spent many years as a caretaker for family, friends and elderly. She provided the gift of friendship and support to many and acted as a cornerstone of strength for those going through difficult times.
Beth enjoyed knitting, crocheting, beadwork and other crafts. She had a favorite saying: "Everything is better in purple."
Beth was loved by many, is gone too soon and will be sorely missed.
Family and friends will gather later to celebrate her life.
