Elizabeth "Betty" Eden, 94, died Monday, March 26, 2018, at Spurgeon Manor Care Center, Dallas Center.
Private family services with interment in the Riverside Cemetery will be held at a later date. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, has been entrusted with Elizabeth's care and services.
Surviving are two children, Ron (JoAnn) Eden, Swisher, and Bonnie (Tom) Tovrea, Waukee; four grandchildren, Kristine Hart, Julie Reed, Jason Blackheart and Sara Eden; four great-grandchildren, Erin, Colin, Calvin and Linus; and a sister, Geraldine (Lucy) Drake, Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; two sisters; and seven brothers.
Elizabeth Johnston was born July 16, 1923, at Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of William and Stella Coleman, Johnston. Betty was a graduate of the Anamosa Community Schools.
Elizabeth Johnston and Raymond C. Eden were married Oct. 3, 1942, at Kahoka, Mo. The couple lived in Maquoketa for 42 years where Ray worked for the REC. Following his retirement in 1990, the couple moved to North Liberty, Iowa.
