ELIJAH DEAN GOODWIN-RUIZ

Elijah Dean Goodwin-Ruiz, infant son of Samuel Goodwin and Caitlin Ruiz, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.
Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must be practiced, which requires a limited number of people allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of face masks or shields is required.
Elijah was born on March 16, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. He was a loving son and will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include his parents, Samuel and Caitlin of Marion; grandparents, Steve (Julie) Ruiz of Marion; great-grandparents, Mary Shea of Cedar Rapids, Daisy Goodwin of Cedar Rapids and Jane (Lazaro) Ruiz of Cedar Rapids; uncles, Danny, Tyler and Bryce; and aunt, Shelby. Elijah is also survived by his great-aunts, great-uncles and other relatives.
Preceding him in death were grandfathers, Dan Shea and Fred Dennis and uncle Brandon Ruiz.
