Eleanor Alice ter Haar, 86, of Iowa City, passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at Oaknoll Health Care Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City, with Father Jeff Belger officiating. Visita-tion will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City, where a vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Eleanor ter Haar Memorial Fund.
Eleanor was born April 29, 1929, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Susie (Campbell) Fey. She married John ter Haar on June 25, 1955, in Davenport. John passed away in 2004.
She is survived by her son, Paul ter Haar of Iowa City; her daughter, Barbara ter Haar (Jamie Britto) of Richmond, Va.; grand-children,
Ryan Marget (Graham Theisen) of Louisville, Ky., Bailey Marget of Richmond, Va., and Geordy Marget of Richmond, Va.; and sister, Dorothy Carstensen (Ingwer) of Preston.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lloyd Fey; and sister, Ethel Fey.
