Eleanor Stoy Cromwell went to be with the Lord Jan.4, 2024 at her home in Cedar Rapids. She was born in 1942 in Aberdeen, Washington to
Emery and Isabel (Forbis) Stoy. She graduated from Hoquiam (Washington) High School in 1960 and joined the United States Navy after graduation. Eleanor graduated from the University of Iowa. She worked for Rockwell Collins and Alliant Energy in Cedar Rapids. Eleanor is survived by a son, James (Betsy) Horton, grandchildren Derrik and Zoe, and a sister, Julie Rabey of Washington state.
Always a champion for animals that need rescue, any memorials may be made to animal rescue groups in Cedar Rapids.
There will be no service at her request.
