Eldon Henry Rudolph Wetjen passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Highland Ridge Care Center in
Williamsburg at the age of 91 years.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; four sons, Dennis (Karen) Wetjen of La Mesa, Calif., Ken Wetjen of Palm Springs, Calif., Garth (Sheri) Wetjen of Williamsburg and Doug (Sue) Wetjen of Brookfield, Wis. 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley McMenomy of Williamsburg; two brothers, Millen Wetjen of Stacy, Minn., and Adrian (Fern) Wetjen of Williamsburg; and a sister-in-law, Eunice Elwood of Williamsburg.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sarah Wetjen; three brothers, Richard, Harlan and Delmar Wetjen; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Wetjen and Nina Wetjen; and a brother-in-law, Dean McMenomy.
Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. Pastor Richard Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
Memorials are for Immanuel Lutheran Church or Essence of Life Hospice.
