Elanna Lynn Bennett, 59, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at her home.
A private family burial will take place at a later date. Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service of Belle Plaine is assisting with arrangements.

Elanna was born Sept. 22, 1959, to Earl and Lois (Kelsey) McBurney in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After attending school in Cedar Rapids, she was married, and to this union a child was born. On March 6, 1998, she married Richard Bennett. She was a stay-at-home mom, taking care of her daughter, Mandy. She was known to many as Mandy's mom and her life revolved around that bond.
Elanna enjoyed playing games with family and watching NASCAR. She was a die-hard Tony Stewart fan.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Bennett of Belle Plaine; brothers, Ed, James and Dale McBurney; and many more loving family and friends.
Elanna was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mandy Candler, in 2016; and brother, Larry McBurney.
