Elaine M. Hulseberg, 86, of Cedar Rapids passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Cedar Rapids. Visitation to be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Cedar Memorial State Room in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service 10:00 am Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. A 12:00 pm Committal Service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Conroy, IA.
She was born November 4, 1938, in Homestead, IA to Christian and Lydia (Hudepohl). Elaine married Louis E. Hulseberg September 1, 1956, in Conroy, IA. Elaine and husband Louis were Facility Administrators of the Linn County Care Facility in Marion for over 20 years. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Marion where she was active in the Stephen’s Ministry and the Women’s Circle. Elaine and Louis were Hostesses together at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, upon Louis’s death Elaine continued to serve the Cedar Families in the same way. Elaine loved to embroider. She was an avid cook and baker. Elaine loved “playing cards”, and she was a “BIG” Iowa Hawkeye Women’s Basketball Fan.
Elaine is survived by her children, Gary (Pam)Hulseberg, Michael (Dorene) Hulseberg and Randy (Julie) Hulseberg; grandchildren, Trent (Kaitlyn) Hulseberg, Troy Hulseberg, Jacob (Kimberly) Cowger, Benjamin Hulseberg and Kirk Hulseberg; great-grandchildren, Stella Hulseberg and Emma Hulseberg; brother-in-law, Frank Adams; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded into death by her husband Louis; her parents; siblings, Arnold (Lorena) Moenich, Medora (Clarence) Hopp, Florence (Ralph) Martinson, Ethel (Melvin) Mumm and LaVern Adams.
The Family would like to thank the staff at Bickford Assisted Living in Marion and the Meth-Wick Community for the wonderful care that she received while at both facilities.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Assn. and Camp Courageous.
