Elaine Brown Glover, 83, was peacefully carried away to Christ on April 12, 2021, at Winslow House in Marion, Iowa, after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
She is survived by her sister, Jean (Gary) Simmons of Mountainburg, Ark.; children, Steve (Holley) Olshewsky, Irene Olshewsky and John (Linda) Olshewsky; a daughter she helped raise and loved as her own, Tammy (Mike) Wawro; stepchildren, Becky and Dennis (Kristi) Glover; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She received her teaching certificate from Ball State Teacher College, and her bachelor's degree from Mount Mercy College. From 1964-1988, she was a member of Cedar Valley Bible Church, serving as their secretary and pianist for the most of those years. In 1988, she married Charles and they retired to Murfreesboro, Tenn., where they were welcomed as family at The Believers Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Effie Irene and Steven Homer Brown; her sisters, Fern Bartruff, Lois Shewski and Irene Brown; and her husband, Charles. She will be laid to rest beside her parents near her birthplace in Kansas.
