Elaine E. Boddicker, 89, a resident of Colonial Manor, Middle Amana, formerly of Newhall, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in

Newhall, with the Rev. Craig Steimel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick and St. Paul Cemetery, Watkins. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the church, with a rosary recited at 5 p.m. Brosh Funeral Service, Norway, is assisting the family.

She was born March 17, 1926, near Watkins to Theodore and Rosetta (Arp) Schmidt. She married John C. Boddicker on June 25, 1946, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Watkins.

Elaine was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Newhall and previously a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Watkins. She was a member of St. Paul's Altar and Rosary Society, past member of ACCW, helped with many funeral dinners, helped clean church and taught CCD.

Her hobbies included playing her keyboard/organ, playing cards, sewing and especially baking.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Kim) Santman of Peru, Ill.; four sisters, Geri (Ron) Holladay of Cedar Rapids, Doris (Everett) Kintzel of Blairstown, Jan Feddersen of Marion and Patricia (Robert) Gambiani of Waverly; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Vernon, sister Laverna Caslavka, husband John C. (Sept. 10, 2000) and son Rick (March 13, 1995).

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Matt Santman and Sean Boddicker; great-nephews, Jeff and Jim Bridgewater; and nephews, Robert and Jason Feddersen.
