Elaine Amituana'i-Parry, 61, of Marion, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2017.
Elaine was born Aug. 14, 1955, in Frankfurt, Germany, and grew up in Daly City, Calif. She attended Daly City public schools and graduated from Serramonte High
School. Elaine loved the Lord and was a tireless prayer warrior.
In addition to serving God and her family, Elaine was active in many prayer groups, Bible study groups and, most recently, served as a member of the Eastern Iowa Fellowship of Christian Athletes Board of Directors.
Elaine is survived by her beloved husband, George; sons, George Jr. (Kristen) and David (Desiree); sisters, Sina Cooper and Neva Amituana'i (Poto); three grandchildren, Luke, Liam and Lauren; and a host of loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fa'amaile Amituana'i; mother, Tautala Amituana'i; and brother, David.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom, 4200 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, at New Covenant Bible Church, 3090 N. Center Point Rd., Cedar Rapids, IA 52411. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Following interment, the family will be hosting a luncheon back at New Covenant Bible Church. All guests are welcome to join.
