Eileen Elnora Hepker, 89, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at West Ridge Care Center, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood, Cedar Rapids. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Urbana Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Gary Hepker; daughter, Velda (Bruce) Feuerbach; granddaughter, Lisa (Steve); grandson, Michael; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Julia, Jace, Clayton, Madelynn and Brianna; sister, Bernita Troxel; and several nieces and nephews.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Merle; parents; sister, Helen Hanson; brothers, Allen, Donald and Loren Miller; and grandson, Jeffrey Feuerbach.
Eileen was born Jan. 18, 1929, near Center Point, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Clarice (Graham) Miller. Eileen and Merle Hepker were united in marriage in rural Benton County, Iowa. She retired from Wilson Packing House. Eileen enjoyed camping, playing cards, cooking, crocheting and crafting.
Eileen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
The family wishes to thank West Ridge Care Center for the excellent care given to our mother during the last year and a half.
