Eileen M. Beier, 90, of Iowa City, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Manor Care Health Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Foundation – Department of Psychology.
Eileen Beier was born April 4, 1924, in New York, N.Y., to Lee and Eleanor (Eves) Beier. She graduated with a Ph.D. in psychology from Yale University. Eileen worked for Ohio State University and the University of Iowa as a researcher. She had a bright mind and a quiet wit.
Eileen is survived by her sister, Merilyn (Rex) Hartwell of Tucson, Ariz.; and several cousins.
